It seems every month Google comes out with a new product or service, is this helping their image with consumers? According to the University of Michigan American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).. No.
Google still remains the dominant search engine, but as an overall web presence, ACSI reports that Yahoo’s portal is boosting it’s customer satisfaction rating. According to a recent survey, Yahoo’s score rose 3.9 points from the previous year to 79 out of 100. Google’s rating dropped 3.7 percent to 78 points.
It seems that this success is due to the continuing efforts to improve current products such as eMail, social networks, as well as other features. On the other hand Google has not shown noticeable improvements for similar products in the last three years.
The biggest loss in the survey was shown by Time Warner Inc.’s AOL, which slipped 9 percent to 67 points. Only slightly higher than the approval rate of the IRS…
